How We Work with Schools and Local Authorities
Clear, calm and collaborative support for learners with SEND

A Partnership Approach

We work alongside schools and local authorities to provide flexible education for learners who need something different.

Our approach is calm and consistent. We build trust with the learner and work closely with your team so support aligns with existing plans and feels well coordinated.

Everything we do is designed to be simple to arrange and steady to deliver.

Understanding the Learner

Before support begins, we read any information you can share, such as SENCO insights, relevant EHCP sections or professional advice. We then focus on getting to know the learner and understanding what helps them feel safe, calm and ready to engage.

This early relationship-building stage is important for learners who may feel anxious or overwhelmed by education.

Matching the Right Educator

Each learner is matched with a specialist educator who has the right experience and approach for their profile. We think carefully about communication style, interests and emotional needs.

Our goal is to create a learning relationship that feels predictable, warm and well-suited to the learner.

Flexible Support That Fits

Support can take place at home, online or in the community. Some learners prefer short sessions to begin with while others benefit from longer routines or project-based work.

We adapt each session to the learner’s needs, pace and energy levels. This flexibility helps learners feel settled and reduces pressure.

Clear and Consistent Communication

We stay in regular contact with SENCOs, inclusion leads and case managers. Communication may include brief engagement updates, observations or alerts if something changes.

Schools value that our updates are clear, timely and focused on what helps the learner move forward.

Safeguarding and Quality Assurance

Safeguarding sits at the centre of our work. Every member of our team holds an enhanced DBS check, completes annual safeguarding training and follows our policies for lone working and information sharing.

We align with school safeguarding procedures and work within clear safety frameworks.

Supporting Reintegration

When reintegration is the goal, we work with you to plan a calm and gradual transition. This can include short supported visits, blended sessions or joint planning with staff.

We pace transitions carefully to support the learner’s wellbeing and confidence.

What Schools Value About Our Work

Schools tell us they appreciate our calm and thoughtful way of working, the quality of our communication and the way we help reduce pressure on overstretched staff.

They also note the difference our specialist educators make to learners who struggle with confidence, engagement or attendance.
