How Our EOTAS Service Works

At Love2Learn Education, we provide a highly personalised and flexible approach to EOTAS (Education Other Than At School) support, designed to meet the unique needs of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Here’s how our service works from start to finish:

1. Getting to Know the Student

To provide the best possible support, we begin by learning about the student. This involves:

  • Working closely with parents or carers to understand their child’s needs and aspirations.

  • Reviewing the student’s EHCP and any other professional reports shared with us.

  • Liaising with the local authority, where appropriate, to ensure we fully understand the student’s educational requirements and objectives.

2. Matching the Student with the Right Tutor

Next, we carefully select the best tutor from our team of skilled SEND specialists. This process considers:

  • The student’s SEND profile.

  • The student’s location, personality, and interests. If we don’t currently have a perfect match, we will aim to recruit a suitable tutor to ensure the student receives the support they need. Once matched, we work closely with the tutor to ensure they:

  • Fully understand the student’s needs.

  • Receive any training required to provide effective support.

3. Introduction to the Tutor

After the tutor is selected and prepared, we introduce them to the parent or carer. This introduction may include:

  • A phone or video call,

  • A home visit, or

  • A meet-and-greet session,
depending on what suits the family best.

4. Learning Launch

Once everyone is happy with the tutor match, we organise a ‘Learning Launch’ session. This one-off session is designed to:

  • Help the tutor and student build rapport.

  • Establish a strong foundation for their future work together.

5. Regular Schedule of Sessions

If the Learning Launch session is successful, we move on to establishing a regular schedule of sessions. This involves:

  • Working at the student’s pace and adapting the approach as needed.

  • Providing feedback after every session to parents or carers.

  • Maintaining open communication to ensure the student’s needs are being met and adjusting the plan if necessary.

6. Pricing

For the 2024/25 academic year, our EOTAS support is priced at £55 per hour. An additional EOTAS Management Fee of £55 per week applies, covering the time we dedicate to ensuring the smooth delivery of your provision. This allows us to maintain high-quality services and invest in the ongoing development and training of our tutors. If you're working on an EOTAS provision plan, we're happy to provide a tailored quote – simply get in touch to discuss your needs.
